Project Overview
Buddy's Place consists of 20 furnished apartments of permanent housing for women and men experiencing homelessness. The rooftop deck was due for renovation so we redesigned the space. We wanted to create an area for respite and community gatherings in this optimal setting. It has the perfect view of Over-The-Rhine's skyline! We built the deck panels from scratch and utilized a pedestal system to elevate the deck.
Background
This project was completed with my partners Ben Kollmann and Lydia Knoll. We completed this project as part of an independent study. Although I have had previous construction experience, this project greatly improved my skills.
